I am standing on Poole Quay with shorts and a t-shirt and it was hot. First time in almost a month that I was dressed that way and not cold. Also first time in Poole with it being warm. The day before I had to borrow a coat because of teh wind and rain. It was really overcast and chilly.
After coffee with Greg, Tony and I went and hopped on the train to Southampton and had a nice sunny day out! Tony needed to go get his uniforms for his job on the tall ship and I hadn't been to Southampton yet so off we went. We had a pint in the Red Lion which is a pub from the 12th Century. A really old place! The photo of the bathroom is also in there. We had a picnic by the marina and then did the castle wall walk which was pretty neat. They managed to save parts of the wall and you can retrace it, which is a nice walk. Tony is peering into a room we couldn't get in but that Archeologists seem to be working on.
Today was a good day. I got my tickets bought and am soon off on another adventure. I have ultimately decided to go sailing to the Canary Islands. I mean, why not. I've never been there, never been sailing on the ocean without no sight of land...it will be alot of firsts for me! Can't wait! I fly into Faro Portugal next week to meet Greg and then we leave from there. First though I am headed to Dublin and then up to Belfast to see the end of the Tall Ships Race (the Atlantic Crossing) I can't wait!!! Should be awesome!
Not alot else going on these last few days, just enjoying my time with Tony again. I may cry again when we say goodbye because this time it may be a while longer than 3 weeks before I see him again.
I got my thank yous off to the Gazzards and Woodwards up in Gloucestershire and I miss them already, I can't wait to tell them all about my trip to the Canary Islands they were so encouraging about my going.
I don't know yet where I'll head from the Canary Islands. I'm thinking its time to go see Noemi in Valencia! That should be a great visit!
I'll keep you posted.
