Playing catch up!

After our morning of sightseeing we did manage to get the sail boat in the water. It was made by the students of the school there. The people who owned all the toys and the house we stayed in.
When we managed to get the boat into the water Rob mentioned it had a small leak. So, we decided we'd watch the water level etc and then come back in if it was too bad. After we got out into the river we noticed water gushing into the boat. It was no longer a small leak, we were sinking! No amount of bucket tossing was going to keep us afloat so we turned back around and headed in. In the photo of the boat on the trailer that piece of duct tape (the flap hanging down) is what was holding the "leak" shut. You can see water pouring out from there as well as the usual hole it pours out of. (I don't know what to call that)
So after all that we took our picnic and headed to a place past Angle and sat on the beach for a mostly sunny afternoon.
We headed home after that. It was a quick trip. Seemed to fly by. Though I was reading most of the time.
Rob took off for his dads when we got back. He had an interview lined up for the following morning and he needed some prep time. Lilla and Robert and Lucy and I had a barbeque and then off to bed early! We were tired!
That was Wednesday August 5th.
Thursday morning I got packed up and moved to Rob's fathers place in the town of Dursley. I am a "townie" now. Robert and Lilla needed a break and I think I did too. So goodbye good cooking and good company with them.
John is a nice guy though so its been okay so far. I'm going to start another page with my day today (Friday)
Rob got the position he was after. It was an interview for getting back into school to learn to be a teacher. All the pieces seemed to fall into place for him so I think he is pretty happy about that!
