The house is tucked neatly into this tiny little rocky cove. Really pretty neat. I think there were a few more structures there but they have since fallen down. The cliff around it is crumbling all the time. This is St. Govans. The lilly ponds are really neat, very quiet, there are trails all around them that lead to the beaches and all through the hills etc. very pretty place!!
This was all Tuesday. We did some sightseeing and then as teh clouds finally lifted and it stopped raining we hit the water and the family learned to knee board. First Rob showed us how it was done then everyone but me had a go. I was resident photographer. Reminded me of Quaker Hill when I used to ride in teh boats all the time but never attempted to learn the sport. Lucy looked totally petrified and was trying hard not to cry but she did manage to hang on. Robert and Lilla both had a go and then little Rob got out the wakeboard and he had a really good run on it. The best laughs always came when someone needed pulling back into the boat! Hilarious!
Earlier in the day I had fallen down a muddy hill and hurt my shoulder. We were doing chores around the house and I had the chore of tent poles being brought back up from a lower field. So as I re-emerged from the bottom all covered in mud it was at least a good laugh for everyone. Thats what I'm here for!! I could almost see it coming too. It was raining, I had flip flops on, it was a hill, there was mud...
Anyways, as we came home the clouds cleared off and we had an almost full moon! It was terrific. Wednesday is our last day here. I didn't get a chance to type last night so I am doing it this morning before we pack up and head back to Gloucestershire. I really like Wales! I am hoping to get to buy a souvenir sometime but it may not happen.
Today we are sailing I think and then headed back home.
More later,
K
