Traditional Hungarian in Spain

Most of the people living here are from Hungary. Which I find amazing. They've all come and settled here and learned the language and love the lifestyle and there you have it. When their parents visit them they bring them traditional things from Hungary. Items to cook with, liquors, wine, meats, cheeses. You name it!
Last night Noemi decided to cook Hungarian Goulash, which is like soup. Its so good!! Did you know that Hungarians use alot of Paprika? Not like the kind we get in the US but its grown in Hungary. Very tasty!
So I paid attention to the process so I could recreate it for everyone back home. Yummy! We started the meal with a drink that is homemade in Hungary. Its called Palinka. Made from fermented fruits of various kinds. Pretty good. But its supposed to settle your stomach to enjoy the meal, and its supposed to follow a meal too because its good for digestion but we had a bottle of wine from Hungary instead. It was good. Noemi took it upon herself to make Tiramisu for dessert so we really ate like kings (queens really, since we are mostly girls here)
The new face in the picture is Noemi's friend Ardon from NYC.
It was a good night and early to bed for everyone too.
Today life goes on. Its Monday. I'll have been here a week on Weds. which I can't believe. I'm liking taking it so easy! Tomorrow I'll get up and go explore the streets of Valencia. I'll also check out the bus station and train station to see what I can learn from that.
