Today is Wednesday September 16
On to Italy finally tomorrow. Been a slow bit of days for blogging, not alot going on. Just living among the locals here. Went to the beach for the last of the sunshine on Monday. Noemi and I had a nice sun tan session and then Szilard joined us. We walked back through Gypsytown and had some tapas. We got rained out about the time the food arrived so we moved inside. Was pretty good food. Tuesday I tagged along with Noemi who was in search of luggage for Anita.
We walked past the City of Arts and Sciences area. It has an official name, I'll find out. I guess the architect is famous. But his style is very futuristic to me and I wasn't sure what age I was living in as I wandered by. It certainly evokes a feeling within you. Very strange. Like you've walked into a movie or have been there before. Very weird.
Today is my last day in Valencia. I went into the city center and had a little wander around. Was a good thing too because its going to rain again. The sun was out earlier today. It rained really hard yesterday! Noemi must have been inspired by the rain because she decided to make a soup for dinner and it was so good!!
I have just repacked and gotten all squared away for my travel day tomorrow. Should be a fairly smooth move. I'll fly to Milan (Malpensa) and meet Matt at the tourist office there. He is already in the air. Weird huh?! Weds. early morning for him and Weds afternoon for me. Then I meet him tomorrow. (thursday! on his itinerary it says 22 hours of travelling. wow!)
I got an email from Greg about sailing across the Atlantic in November on his yacht. I of course really want to go along! I nearly panicked because making it happen would be really tough! So I asked everyone what they thought and of course everyone said "you better make it happen". I talked to my mom and dad (who've been helping me rearrange my tickets etc) they both weren't happy to hear that I wanted to stay here. I think they just miss me. I think they both know if I could stay I would.
That was Monday when he emailed and after a couple of days of wondering what to do (sort of) I had decided just to let it play out so that if it was meant to be it would happen. Greg emailed me back again today and said he wasn't really sure when he was going to sail for sure. So I feel pretty good about going back to the US and looking for work and just going from there.
I am bummed to be leaving Europe. I think that leaving now will make it harder to come back again. But who really knows what's to come.
I thought for sure if I could get to the Caribbean then I could just keep moving. To Central or South America then onto New Zealand or Australia or maybe just as far as Hawaii. Who says it can't still happen.
Anyways. Off I go to tour Italy with my brother. Should be good fun. I'm packing tons of memory cards for my camera and a cork screw. What more does a person need in Italy?!
