Day Two (third attempt)

I had a witty little write up on my second day of the class and uploaded photos and everything and then poof! Then a second attempt and poof! So I went to bed. It was late and I was tired.
There is no real way to describe those "survival suits" I'm attaching photos! It was awesome! They are so bouyant that you can barely get your feet below you and so it was pretty comical to try and move around without kicking your legs out behind you. We got into a life raft in the Bay and then out of it. No small feat! And then we got into the water and flipped the raft right side up and go into it. It was alot like flipping a whitewater raft (which I had done before) except you are in a suit with only what feels like a peephole to look through and these funny fingers in the gloves. It was pretty funny.
Today we do more of that except in a pool. We will also have to put the survival suits on in the water which will be really hard I think! The sun has done nothing but shine and its been so nice! Though in the suits it got really hot.
My suit had a leak in teh foot (they wouldn't normally~you hope) and so my one shoe was slowing filling with water. I sprung a leak in the pants part too but I got out just in time...except my darling cousin Cory wanted me to jump back in so he could get a picture and that was when I really got wet. And because I couldn't hear him I jumped before he was ready! Ha! All he got was the splash, he wanted me to do it one more time but I was not having that! :)
Cory and I went to dinner at the Seattle Waterfront. We ate at Ivars. No fish and chips will ever be the same after having eaten them in England.
I'll put some photos on here and then I need to get a lunch made and head out.

Not crazy about how th pictures go on here. The group of pictures: the 4 is my team for the week, then one of me about to jump into the water. One of us flipping the raft right side up and then one of my getting out of the big wet rubber suit. Ha! Cory got some hilarious pictures of that!

Later,

  1. Save me, I'm not really a giant lobster. Hilarious photos, looks like a lot of hard work. Good news on your new connection, hopefully some good stuff will come of it.
